SOLVING THE PROBLEM OF A FORGOTTEN GIFT

As society moves forward, being kind to one another is becoming a strong part of human life. Not only do most people work hard to keep those around them happy, but they will go to extreme lengths to show them that they care, and special occasions are a great example of this. When you forget something like this, though, the damage can be more impactful than if you had remembered. Loads of people find themselves in this situation, but this post is here to help you out, and will be going through some of the best options you have when you’re a day away from someone else’s special event.

Amazon Prime

Over the last couple of years, Amazon have been hard at work perfecting their Prime service. In essence, this option gives you the chance to have a huge range of products delivered to your door on a same or next day basis. Even if you order something late at night or over a weekend, the delivery teams they have working never stop, and this makes it possible to get your gift to you on time. If you haven’t already used it, you can usually get a month of this service for free.

Something Floral

Thanks to their short lifespan, flowers can’t spend days waiting to be delivered. Instead, when you buy a product like this, you will need it to get to your door as soon as possible, and companies offering fresh flower delivery by post are aware of this. Most will offer next day services for their products, even when you ask for something bespoke, making this an easy way to give a thoughtful gift without the time.

Tickets

One of the biggest issues people face when they need to buy something last minute is availability and delivery times, with people being unhappy about waiting past the event for their gift. There are some exceptions to this rule, though, and show tickets are a great example. As you will be buying something to be used for the future, you don’t have to worry about delivery times with something like this, instead being able to give the recipient a card which details the experience you have planned for them.

Avoiding The Obvious

It can be easy to make it too obvious that a gift has been bought in haste. Going for options like gift cards or store credit will often be disappointing for a recipient, effectively forcing them to choose their gift for themselves. Of course, it really is the thought that counts, and you can easily make it very clear that you’ve put no thought into this whatsoever. This is always a shame, as it will make the recipient feel bad.

With all of this in mind, you should be feeling ready to start taking on the challenge of getting a last minute gift which has a great impact. A lot of people struggle with this, finding it hard to know what needs to be done when they realise the date, but it doesn’t have to be as scary as it seems.
