New Years Eve Beauty Picks.

New Years eve is that time of year, when too much, is never quite enough! Glittery eyes and bold lips are a essential part a New Year outfit. Getting ready is half the fun isn’t it?! I love nothing more than getting ready for a night out, with music blasting out of my speakers. Even better if you’re prancing around your room in your underwear, with a towel around your head, singing into a hairbrush at top note! Just me?? Yeah, didn’t think so 😉
To start off, I give my face a really good cleanse with my holy grail item, my Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish. This baby leaves my face feeling unbelievably soft and well prepped for my base. My skin also feels really fresh and hydrated after using this, which I think is key before applying my makeup.
Next, my base consists of MAC Face & Body Foundation, this foundation leaves my face with a really nice glow and it also provides great coverage. It blends really easily and a little goes a long way. I applied Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer; underneath my eyes and to any problem areas. I then apply my GlossyBox Blusher* to the apple of my cheeks, it gives a lovely subtle dusty pink colour. I did quite a bold eye and lip, so used my base and blush to tone it down. I highlighted my face using Topshop Highlighter, in Cresent Moon. This is definitely my favourite highlighter, it leaves a really healthy glow and shine (in the right places) to my face. I apply it to the top of my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose and across my temples.
For my eyes I used my Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette; using the colour half-baked on the lid, probably one of my favourite out of the whole palette! It is a lovely gold shimmer shade, which I thought was perfect for New Year :). I then used my Rimmel Scandel-Eyes Eyeliner; to do a cat-eye look.
I used Rimmel Exaggerate Lipliner, for my lips. Aswel as a liner, I use this to colour in my lips before applying my lipstick, as it helps the lipstick to last longer. For my lipstick, I wanted to go for a bright red lip. I applied a coat of Yves Rocher Lipstick in Rouge*; which I recieved in one of my GlossyBoxes, and I love it! It is so moisturising and lasts all night.
For my nails I chose Rimmel 60 Seconds in Grey Matter; it is a lovely slate grey colour. I’ve been wearing it quite a lot recently, definitely a winter favourite. I applied a light coat of Topshop Glitter Nail Varnish in Pluto; a purple glitter nail varnish, onto my ring fingers, for that extra bit of something!

I love using my Wake me up concealer under the eye, and I'd love to try the Topshop highlighter! I've had my eye on it for too long! xo

It is an amazing concealer, best one i've used. The highlighter is amazing, quite a bargain for £10, as a little goes a long way xx
