I don’t know about anyone else but when I was little, I absolutely loved opening my stocking presents! In our family we opened tree presents first and THEN stocking presents, they were never our main presents just little bits of things but they were always my favourite to open. I thought I would share some last minute stocking fillers for children, in case you are struggling or in need of a last minute gift for nieces or nephews.
LAST MINUTE STOCKING FILLERS FOR CHILDREN
These paint sticks from Amazon are such a smart idea! I have actually just bought some of these for Teddy LOL. I like that they seem a little more mess-free than normal paints. The fact you don’t need brushes and water as they are solid paints that dry within minutes is great. Especially for little hands that enjoy causing as much mess as possible. They are available on Prime delivery for £13.90, for the set with 12 different paint colours.
This is another present I have picked up for Teddy’s stocking! I like the simplicity of these for his first proper puzzle set/matching game, as it is just pairing up the farm-themed cards. They promote memory skills & encourage matching. Orchard Toys have SO many games like these for a whole range of ages and I have my eyes on quite a few.
Melissa & Doug is another toy brand that have such a huge selection of toys & I love that they are all wooden. We have got Teddy a wooden kitchen as his main present & along with that we have got him some wooden pots and pans, and also some wooden fruit & veg. What I love about this set is that you can cut and chop.
Teddy already has a little wooden camera but what I love about this one is it has a kaleidoscope built in! I used to love these when I was little, the only difference is mine was built into a little telescope. It has the same sounds as a proper camera and also comes with a protective rubber case. Teddy is obsessed with my big DSLR camera so these little wooden ones are perfect for him.
I never really knew much about the brand Smiggle until my nieces mentioned it a few years ago & turns out it is a huge deal amongst slightly older children. They are a huge stationary brand and what kids love most about them is how fun they are! They have such a vast range of quirky gifts & stationary; including scented notepads, headphones & watches. Smiggle kindly sent me some items to share with you, and I know my nieces will LOVE to open on Christmas.
