COSY WINTER NIGHT IN ESSENTIALS
I don’t know about you but there is nothing more appealing to me than a night in. Whether it’s by myself (obviously Teddy is here I mean LOL do I ever go anywhere without him?) or with other people, I just love a cosy night in. Especially at this time of year. It’s colder & it is dark by 5pm so the idea of having to leave the house.. it isn’t my idea of fun! I thought I would share with you my cosy winter night-in essentials.
Is there anything better than watching your favourite film (s) or binge-watching a tv show, during a chilled evening? NOPE. I am currently watching both Teen Mom OG (hell yes) and i’m currently on the second season of Daredevil, which is something I really didn’t think I would enjoy but i’m obsessed! Whether it is re-watching your favourites (FRIENDS is my go to) or discovering something new, there is nothing better than completely immersing yourself into a show or film you love.
I have more blankets dotted around my house than I know what to do with! I have just changed over our usual ones in the living room for our Christmas ones and I am so happy about it. My favourite types on blanket are the really soft fleecy ones. Primark & Matalan are the best places for these as they are super cheap but really good quality. They also wash really well, which when you have a toddler, is hell-a important.
Is it really a cosy night in if you don’t have treats? My ideal treats would be a Chinese takeaway YUM, some Ben & Jerry’s ice cream and lots of sweets. We try & do this once a week but over winter & Christmas the treats are broken out a whole lot more. I have some Christmas severing bowls that are very rarely in the cupboards due to being filled with yummy goodies LOL.
If I could wear one thing for the rest of my life it would be pyjamas. Especially cosy ones. I don’t know why but during this time of year I am drawn to tartan, cosy style pjs – they just scream festive AF to me. I love having a really nice long shower, changing the bedding and putting new pyjamas on. I sound like a Grandma and i’m cool with that.
It is not very often I buy myself new things, aside from the odd book & Dominos (YUM), especially when it comes to makeup and beauty. One thing I do always treat myself to is a face mask. I love giving my skin a really good pamper and deep clean. I have recently picked up some skincare from The Ordinary brand and I have been loving it so far! I am planning on doing a mini review on both the products soon.
Do you prefer nights at home? I’d love to know what your cosy night in essentials are?
