boots haul

It was my 26th Birthday last week & I was lucky enough to receive quite a bit of money from my family & Aaron, so I decided to go shopping and treat myself to some bits I’ve had my eye on for a while. It has been SO long since I went into Boots to pick up new beauty & haircare. They currently have 3 for 2 on all hair products and make up so I picked up three in each category!

My hair is incredibly dry at the moment so I knew I wanted to pick up some really nourishing, moisturising products to really help combat that & I knew exactly which brand I wanted to try. Umberto Giannini have recently released a new range of products & I absolutely love what I have tried so far, their 60 Second Smooth Pre Shampoo Treatment is amazing.

I picked up two products from their INDULGE range & one BEACH product to take away with me on holiday next month. The PICK ME UP MOISTURISING NUTRIENT SPRAY is packed with key nutrients to help nourish hair including coconut & jojoba oils, it detangles, smooths & de-frizzes. It also works as a protector from heat damage which is always so handy, especially if you use a lot of heat on your hair. OVER INDULGE NOURISHING HAIR MASK instantly drew me in as I have been on the hunt for a good hair mask, & what I love most about this product is that it comes with a shower cap to really lock the moisture in whilst you leave it to work its magic. This only needs to be left on your hair for three minutes after shampooing, so I would do this as soon as I get in the shower & then you can spend three minutes washing your bits, shaving your legs.. whatever. I’m so excited to use this & will keep you posted on what I think of it. From their Beach range I picked up the CATCH A WAVE COCONUT OIL BEACH TEXTURE SPRAY for our trip to Greece next month, as I really like to use minimal effort when on holiday but still look like I’ve done a bit of summin’ if that makes sense? I’ve used texture sprays in the past but they’ve always left my hair really crunchy & dry so I have been really put off using them, however the Umberto Giannini spray claims to do the opposite of that & offer you the lovely beach waves and volume without drying your hair out (which is the last thing you want when you’ve been in the sun all day & that can be drying enough). Again, this product contains Coconut oil so you know it’ll be lovely & nourishing on your hair.

Make Up wise I am a complete Rimmel girl & I think their brand is such amazing value for money & there are some products that I will always repurchase. Their Wake Me Up range is one of my all time favourites & I use the foundation everytime I apply makeup, it leaves my skin looking really awake & healthy (which as a gal who gets no sleep, I need all the help I can get!) However I haven’t owned the concealer in YEARS, instead opting for the Collection Lasting Perfection, which is fantastic for blemishes, but it didn’t brighten up my under-eye as much as I would have liked. Teddy was playing with my make up bag whilst I was doing my make up last week & he decided to hide/lose my Benefit One Heck Of A Blot powder so I needed a quick replacement & the Rimmel Stay Matte powder is one I’ve always gone back to over the years. It works so well for the budget price!

I hope you enjoyed seeing my little Boots haul. I’d love to know if you’ve tried any of these, especially the hair care?!
