We all get to the point in blogging, where we hit ‘bloggers block’..we have no inspiration or motivation for anything regarding blogging. Taking pictures, editing and writing posts is the last thing you feel like doing.
I’ve hit bloggers block, once majorly since starting blogging almost 2 years ago and I thought i’d give you some tips on how I overcame the block and got back into the swing of things.
Firstly, look back at previous posts, ones that went down well with your readers, that way you know your readers are going to enjoy a similar post. Also read other peoples blogs, take inspiration from their posts that have been popular.
Twitter chats are also a great way to get some inspiration, interact with your followers/readers and ASK what they would like to see on your blog, or what they have enjoyed seeing previously. You could even ask them what posts they will be writing in the future, don’t copy, just take notes. Bloggers are happy to help about fellow bloggers with writing block, we’ve all been there.
I really hope this post helps some of you and gives you a little boost on the blogging front if you’re lacking any kind of motivation. That being said, don’t force yourself to write, you’ll take the enjoyment out of it and begin to resent it. Blogging is suppose to be fun and something for you to enjoy. Don’t make it a chore. Sit back, take a break and before you know it the block will have disappeared and you’ll have blog posts coming out your ears!
