Evening Skincare | Routine

There’s nothing more I like in an evening, after a full day at work or after wearing a full face of makeup, than giving my face a good ol’ clean. I start by taking off my mascara using Sephora’s Waterproof eye Makeup Remover | link | As much as I love my Bioderma and it is my holy grail makeup remover, it can take quite a while to remove the Benefit They’re Real mascara. I’ve found since using the Sephora remover, it takes half as long! It isn’t harsh on the eyes, and feels really relaxing. I have a full review on this product here.
I then remove the rest of my makeup using my much loved and extremely hyped about Bioderma. I can’t rave about this enough. Everyone and their goldfish knows about this product so I won’t bore you, haha. I stocked up on a couple of large bottles whilst in Paris, which will keep me going for a LONG time. | link |
I give my face a deep clean using the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil* | link | I had never used a facial oil, before I was sent this one, and was quite skeptical. I always thought they would make my face really greasy and oily. Which is definitely not the case! It feels really soothing and luxurious when applied onto my face, and leaves it feeling really soft and clean. I apply La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo | link | as a treatment, as i’m having problems with my skin at the minute, meaning pesky spots that won’t budge off my chin, and this works wonders. It really helps to calm the spots down and leaves my face feeling so soft. Full review can be found here.
DON’T JUDGE, but up until a couple of months ago, I had never used a moisturiser specifically for night time. When I noticed the Nivea Daily Essentials Regenerating Night Cream | link | on offer in Morrisons for about £3.50, I snapped it up. I didn’t understand how it could be much different to a moisturiser for daytime. Tut, such an ammature! It feels much thicker and takes longer to sink into the skin. It doesn’t leave my skin with any residue or feeling tacky which I like. I’m really enjoying using this product. For those pain in the ass spots i’ve been applying my trusty Origins Super Spot Remover | link | I bought this in London a YEAR AGO. Oh my gosh it’s gone so quick… anyway, back to what I was talking about…. After a year, and using this product at least once a week, it’s still going strong. You really need the tiniest amount and it really works.
What are your nighttime essentials? I’d love to know 🙂

Lovely post Hun, nice you do a deep clean as well, I was the same about oils, I thought they would leave my skin greasy, but they leave your skin amazing.

The DHC Deep Cleansing Oil is a favourite of mine & was skeptical too at first now I always take it with me when I travel. It keeps my skin blemish free. I still have never tried Bioderma, I really want to.
